Thanks so much for writing this. I have my National Board Certification (U.S.) and taught for 10 years before teaching in Cambodia - only to find out that the British headmaster himself was underqualified! He would mock students' accents, and worse. Having a DEEP understanding of cultural sensitivity is a bare minimum requirement to education abroad.
